WASHINGTON D.C. –Today, Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement on President Biden and Democrats in Congress stalling the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations.
“The President completely abandoned negotiations for 100 days and now, with a looming default, he is stonewalling with absurd calls for more taxes. This is bad faith negotiations, bad policy, and bad leadership. The House GOP did their job and passed a responsible debt ceiling bill. The ball is in the President’s court to follow suit. No more stalling, no more scare tactics, and no more senseless Democrat proposals," said Rep. Arrington.
