WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington attended a Joint Meeting of Congress in honor of the 75th Anniversary of Israel. In his address, President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog affirmed the “sacred bond” between the US and Israel, praised the Trump-brokered Abraham Accords, and urged that criticisms of Israel must never evolve into antisemitism.
On Tuesday night, the House of Representatives passed H. Con. Res. 57, a resolution reaffirming the United States’ strong support of our ally, Israel.
Rep. Arrington said this of the legislation:
“I want to commend Representative Pfluger’s resolution backing one of our strongest allies, Israel.
“It was an honor to welcome Isaac Herzog, President of the Jewish State of Israel, as he addressed a Joint Session of Congress earlier today.
“America has always stood in strong support of Israel because of our shared Judeo-Christian values, mutual commitment to freedom and democracy, and national security interests.”

This Congress, Representative Arrington has supported several pro-Israel efforts, including:
H. Res. 100 to express support for the Iranian people's desire for a democratic, secular, and nonnuclear Republic of Iran, and condemn violations of human rights and state-sponsored terrorism by the Iranian Government.
Signed a bipartisan letter urging President Biden to increase his administration’s efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapon capabilities and to communicate with Iran that any further progress will result in severe consequences.
