Arrington Praises USMCA Signing as Win for West Texans and American Producers Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement after attending the signing of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) at the White House:   “Today, President Trump ratified the seminal ‘America First’ trade deal with our largest and most important trading partners, Canada and Mexico, fulfilling his promise to increase market access to US goods and level the playing field,” said Arrington. “This historic trade agreement is a major win for our farmers, ranchers, and energy producers who feed, fuel, and clothe the world. Under this agreement, agriculture exports are expected to increase by $2.2 billon and energy will flow more freely with our neighboring partners as we get even closer to an energy dominant North America.” “Last year, Texas alone exported over $132 billion in goods to Canada and Mexico. Improving and growing these mutually beneficial trade relationships not only adds $70 billion & 176,000 jobs to our economy, but it fortifies our economy against retaliatory tariffs by China.”
