WASHINGTON – Today Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, released the following statement regarding the introduction of this year’s Farm Bill.
Today Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, released the following statement regarding the introduction of this year’s Farm Bill:
“Building on pro-agriculture tax cuts and regulatory relief, as well as the recently passed legislation to restore the safety net status of cotton, the 2018 Farm Bill will help ensure a strong and vibrant West Texas. I commend Chairman Conaway for his leadership and, after numerous Ag Committee meetings and hearings, look forward to marking up my first Farm Bill as the representative for one of the largest agriculture production regions in the world. It’s a great start to making important investments in rural infrastructure and our nation’s food supply while delivering much-needed reforms to the food stamp program like requiring able-bodied people to work in order to receive government assistance.”
