Washington, D.C. – Today, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) releasing its final study aimed at restricting President-elect Trump’s ability to unleash U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports when he returns to office in January: “Biden's DOE released a blatantly biased study on the environmental impact of U.S. LNG exports - a resource that produces significantly fewer carbon emissions than other types of energy sources,” said Chairman Arrington. “This purely political move is an effort to restrict future exports of American energy and roadblock President Trump's pro-growth agenda.” ### |
