Arrington to Vote Yes on Short-Term Funding Bill

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement ahead of voting in support of tonight’s short-term funding bill:

“The purpose of the debt ceiling has always been to force our nation’s leaders to deal with our unsustainable national debt and the out-of-control spending that’s driving it,” said Chairman Arrington. “I believe President Trump when he says he’s committed to using reconciliation to rein-in deficit spending and reignite economic growth. Our children’s future depends on it, and failure is not an option! Tonight, I will be voting to clear the way for President Trump and our unified Republican leadership to restore our nation’s fiscal health, secure our children’s future, and make America prosperous again.”

Tonight, President Trump said on Truth“The United States will cut Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in spending next year through Reconciliation!”
