KTXS: 60th Annual World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup being held in Sweetwater this weekend

The 60th Annual World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup is taking place this weekend in Sweetwater and it has brought in people from all over the globe, including U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington.
At the event, families have been enjoying days full of food, fun and of course, rattlesnakes. The Sweetwater Jaycees will use the money that they raise from this weekend's event to benefit multiple charitable organizations in their community. KTXS News spoke with U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington, who says that the yearly Roundup reminds him of how strong the people of West Texas are, both in strength and in spirit. "Rattlesnakes represent a lot of what we represent as West Texans: we're tough, we're resilient and if you provoke us, we'll fight you, and I hope that I can represent the people of District 19 in that same way," said Arrington. As of Saturday afternoon, there were 4,309 pounds worth of rattlesnakes on hand at the Roundup. http://ktxs.com/news/abilene/60th-annual-worlds-largest-rattlesnake-roundup-being-held-in-sweetwater-this-weekend
