Arrington Honors WTX Veteran and Bronze Star Recipient

Abilene, TX – Today, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) visited Cipriano “Cip” DelBosque, a U.S. Army veteran who, after over 30 years, was recently awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic action during Desert Storm. Arrington met DelBosque at his small business in Abilene, Cip’s Barber Shop, and presented him with an American flag flown over the United States Capitol in his honor.
“Cipriano ‘Cip’ DelBosque is an American hero who served our country faithfully in Desert Storm,” said Chairman Arrington. “After 34 years of being recommended for the Bronze Star, I am proud that Cip finally received this award he undoubtedly earned. Today, it was my honor to pay him a visit at his small business in Abilene, Cip’s Barber Shop, where I gave him an American Flag flown over the United States Capitol in his honor, met his family and friends, and thanked him for his service to our great country.
