Anson, TX – House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) visited with local law enforcement officials and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Officers from the Bluebonnet Detention Facility at the Jones County Sheriff’s Office to discuss immigration enforcement and border security.

“Important meeting today with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and ICE Bluebonnet Detention Facility to discuss the ongoing efforts to defend our communities and reverse course on the disastrous consequences of the open-border crisis that ravaged our country over the last four years,” said Chairman Arrington. “While illegal border crossings are down 96% from the all-time highs of the previous administration, there’s still more work to be done to identify, detain, and deport illegal aliens in our great state."

“We were honored to host Congressman Arrington at our community relations luncheon and discuss the essential services we provide in partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” said Marcello Villegas, Warden of the Bluebonnet Detention Center. “Since the facility’s opening in 2019, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) has partnered with ICE to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents, offering high-quality care and maintaining secure environments throughout their stay.”
