On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington appeared on the program to discuss this week's mid term elections and their fallout, cotton in the farm bill, and much more.

While speaking about the changes in the legislature and it's leadership in the wake of Tuesday's results, and what the public can expect with Democrats in charge of House, Arrington said,

I think the overall tone and tenor, if you have a [Nancy] Pelosi led House, is going to be more investigation [and] impeachment hearings. I do think Chad, that if that's the direction they go, they can forget [elections in] 2020, the President's going to win it. Because just like Kavanaugh blew up in their face, the American people...they thought the theatrics and the disorder and the dysfunction out of the Kavanaugh hearings was unacceptable. And I think they will feel the same if Nancy Pelosi goes that direction in the House.

During discussion about the farm bill, Hasty asked Arrington whether or not there was a danger of cotton being written out of the farm bill. Arrington replied,

No way, no how...We worked hard to plug that hole, and it's permanently restored, and it's in law. And that safety net now covers cotton producers in West Texas.
