Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement rebuking Speaker Pelosi’s proposed presidential succession commission:

“After wasting four years of endless obstruction, including the first ever partisan impeachment, Speaker Pelosi is once again weaponizing Congress and the Constitution to discredit a duly elected President of the United States,” stated Arrington. 

 “Speaker Pelosi’s seemingly pathological obsession with discrediting President Trump has set a series of destructive precedents that have undermined - not only voter’s faith in this legislative body - but our ability to govern this great nation. As the American people look to their leaders for help during this unprecedented time of need, they’ve gotten nothing but partisan foolishness from the Democrat Leader of the House of Representatives.”
