Texas Tech is America’s team. It’s a Main Street university in Middle America made up of mostly kids from working families.

It’s a heartland culture that reflects our nation’s traditional faith and family values.

Like our pioneering fathers who braved the harsh elements to settle the Great Plains of West Texas, Red Raiders know how to work, fight, and never quit.

They don’t expect anyone to give them anything.

They don’t waste time complaining about being underrated or underestimated. They know respect is earned not given.

And, they know it’s not about pleasing the crowd or pundits. It’s about giving their best to each other, themselves, and their university.

I’m proud to be a Red Raider. I’m honored to represent Texas Tech in Congress.

And, I’m fired up for the country to know more about West Texas - the Food, Fuel, and Fiber (and FOOTBALL!) Capital of the World.

Guns up, Red Raiders… Let’s go all the way!!
