WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement following the Supreme Court’s decision rejecting a Texas led challenge to the Affordable Care Act: “Today, the Supreme Court dismissed a challenge to the Affordable Care Act, saying states failed to demonstrate harm stemming from the disastrous healthcare law. However, millions of American patients paid the Individual Mandate penalty, saw their premiums skyrocket, and watched their healthcare choices dwindle due to Democrats’ failed experiment with government-run healthcare. We don’t need more mandates; we need more choice. We don’t need more bureaucracy; we need more competition and innovation. I will continue to champion patient-centered healthcare solutions that expand access and improve outcomes for all American patients and their families.” ### |
