Arrington Urges Senate to Reject Irresponsible Infrastructure Bill

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement voicing his opposition to the Senate’s proposed infrastructure legislation:

“The Senate’s proposed infrastructure bill is too broad, too expensive, and too progressive. I am deeply concerned by the tens of billions of dollars wastefully allocated for public transit and green energy subsidies, as well as the bill’s reliance on gimmicky and unreliable pay-fors that add $256 billion to our already staggering national debt.

“I am sorely disappointed and urge the Senate to reject this irresponsible infrastructure bill on the merits, but also to prevent Speaker Pelosi from using this package as leverage to pass the Democrats’ socialist, multi-trillion dollar tax-and-spend package.”
