Arrington Statement on H.J. Res. 30

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement after voting in support of H.J. Res. 30, which would nullify the Department of Labor’s rule allowing fiduciaries to base investment decisions on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations.

“Fund managers who invest other people’s hard-earned retirement money have a duty under the law to maximize their ROI, not advance some radical woke agenda,” said Rep. Arrington.“The Biden Administration’s attempt to sneak ‘environmental, social, and governance’ (ESG) factors into the decision-making process for retirement plan fiduciaries is a brazen example of how the Radical Left has hijacked the Democrat Party.”
