Washington, D.C. – Today, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement celebrating critical wins for Dyess Air Force Base in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

“At a time when the world is more dangerous and U.S. military funding is dwindling, this defense bill provides our troops with the resources they need to be safe and successful in the first and most important job of our government. Furthermore, this year’s NDAA roots out radical ideology in the military – like removing Green New Deal climate footprint restrictions from our weapons systems – and puts America First by securing our southern border, supporting our troops, and deterring our adversaries, like China,” said Chairman Arrington. “I am especially proud to have delivered over $30 million – the largest investment in a National Defense Authorization bill in Dyess history – for infrastructure and resources to support the B-21’s arrival. This investment will maintain Dyess as the tip of the spear of our air arsenal, ensuring our airmen’s safety and success in their most important mission – to provide for the common defense.”

To support the B-21 beddown at Dyess Air Force Base, the NDAA includes:

  • $12.8M for a B-21 Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Admin Lab
  • $18.5M for a B-21 Refueler Truck Yard
