Arrington Leads Effort to Overturn Biden ‘America Last’ Immigration Policies

  • America First

Washington, D.C. – This week, House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) led his colleagues in introducing three Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions of disapproval to block implementation of harmful regulations at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that dilute American wages, put the American worker last, and serve as a magnet for illegal immigration into the U.S.

“President Biden and Failed-Border Czar Harris habitually put America Last for four years,” said Chairman Arrington. “I’m proud to lead the fight to reverse ridiculous DHS rules that prioritize illegal immigrants over American workers, and I look forward to working with President Trump to restore rule of law and put the safety of the American people first.”

“This is exactly the effort Congress must undertake to overturn the burn-it-down actions the Biden administration continues to pursue on its way out,” said Congressman Keith Self, cosponsor of the CRAs.

The CRAs do the following:

  • Reverse the expansion of the H1B visa program that would remove safeguards against fraud and abuse while expanding the program without the necessary oversight.
  • Reverse the expansion of the H2 visa program that would move the requirement that employers comply with E-Verify, the government’s electronic verification system to check for foreign worker legality.
  • Reverse the expansion of work permits for illegal aliens to 540 days.
