Arrington Attends Ribbon Cutting for Lubbock ISD’s Advanced Ag STEM Elementary School

LUBBOCK, TX—Today, Rep. Jodey Arrington (TX-19) attended a ribbon cutting with local leaders and West Texas teachers for Lubbock ISD’s Anita Carmona-Harrison Elementary School, the district’s brand-new agriculture and STEM school.

“It was an honor to be a part of this historic moment for Lubbock ISD as we welcome a new, state-of-the-art agriculture and STEM elementary school, named in honor of Anita Carmona-Harrison, who inspired generations of students,” said Rep. Arrington. “This first-of-its-kind elementary school will allow students to learn key science, engineering, and technology skills necessary to be successful in the 21st -century agriculture economy. This investment will help secure West Texas as the epicenter of agriculture in the United States by providing a world-class education and preparing the future leaders of this critical industry.”
