Congressman Arrington Issues Last Call for Military Academy Nomination Applications Before October 15 Deadline

Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington issued a final call for qualified candidates in Texas’ 19th Congressional District to apply for Military Academy Nominations ahead of the the October 15th deadline. Congressman Arrington may nominate up to ten individuals from the 19th District to be considered for appointment. “It is my distinguished honor to nominate exceptional student leaders as candidates for appointment to our esteemed United States Service Academies,” said Arrington. “Each student that I nominate is among the best and brightest of West Texas, and they represent the next generation of American leaders.” Each student nominated will go through the academies’ competitive application process and, if offered an appointment, the student will join their respective Academy’s Class. The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. To request a Military Academy Nomination from Congressman Arrington’s office, interested applicants may complete the form online. All materials for the academy classes of 2024 should be submitted before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
