– Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) released the following statement after President Trump and United States Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer announced a preliminary agreement between the United States and Mexico to update the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA):
“As one of the largest agricultural exporting states in the country, having free as well as fair trade deals is essential to the future of Texas farmers and ranchers and the prosperity of our region. I applaud President Trump and his administration for their progress in improving and modernizing NAFTA, and am confident our Negotiator-in-Chief will close a deal that benefits all Americans.”
