Arrington Responds to Biden’s State of the Union

Washington, D.C. – Tonight, Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union: “Joe Biden’s State of the Union was as disconnected from reality as his policies are from the needs of the American people. “It’s clear to any serious or objective person living in this country that our communities are not safer today than they were 3 years ago. “Our border is less secure today than it was 3 years ago. “Our paychecks are smaller, our economic future is more fragile and uncertain than it was 3 years ago. “Whether it’s at home or abroad, sadly, America has been in decline. “In tonight’s State of the Union, President Biden had an opportunity to change direction, to own it, and to do something about it. “Instead, he deflected responsibility for his string of self-inflicted disasters and even doubled down on the policies that have left Americans feeling like their lives today are worse than their lives were 3 years ago. “It is clear to every American, the state of our union is going from bad to worse under this President, and the only way to change course is if the American people change our leadership. “God bless you, God bless America, and go West Texas.” ### |
