Washington, D.C. – Today, Chairman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) issued the following statement after House passage of H.R. 192, To prohibit individuals who are not citizens of the United States from voting in elections in the District of Columbia: “Allowing non-citizens to vote in elections is unacceptable and un-American - it incentivizes more illegal immigration, rewards Biden’s open border policies, and, worst of all, it dilutes the vote of the American people. American citizens – and only American citizens – have the sacred right to vote in elections in the United States.” ### |
