Washington, D.C. – Today, President Donald Trump publicly endorsed House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington’s Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025. The resolution serves as the critical first step in the reconciliation process for Republicans to deliver on President Trump’s transformative America First agenda. The resolution was passed out of committee last week with unanimous Republican support. “The House and Senate are doing a SPECTACULAR job of working together as one unified, and unbeatable, TEAM, however, unlike the Lindsey Graham version of the very important Legislation currently being discussed, the House Resolution implements my FULL America First Agenda, EVERYTHING, not just parts of it,” said President Trump. “We need both Chambers to pass the House Budget to ‘kickstart’ the Reconciliation process, and move all of our priorities to the concept of, ‘ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL.’ It will, without question, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” In response to President Trump, Arrington issued the following statement: “President Trump asked for ‘One, BIG Beautiful Bill’ to pass the FULL America First agenda and that’s exactly what the House GOP Budget Committee delivered,” said Chairman Arrington. “It’s pro-growth, pro-energy, and pro-working family! It cuts taxes, cuts regulations, and cuts waste. It gives our heroic border patrol agents and troops the tools they need to keep us safe. Republicans in both chambers should follow Trump’s lead - endorse it, unlock the most consequential legislation in modern history, and Make America Great Again!” Other support for Arrington’s Budget Resolution: “The House budget resolution implements President Trump’s FULL America First agenda, not just parts of it with promises to come back later for the rest,” said Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. “We remain laser-focused on sending our bill to President Trump’s desk to secure the border, keep taxes low, restore American energy dominance, strengthen America’s military, and make government work better for all Americans. The American people gave us a mandate and we MUST deliver.” “It’s time to act on ALL of the powerful mandates the American people gave to President Trump in November: Securing the border, opening up American energy to lower costs, keeping tax rates low (including no tax on tips), strengthening our national defense, a two-year extension of the debt ceiling, and passing into law DOGE’s identified waste in government,” said House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. “All of Trump’s priorities in one big, beautiful bill start moving when we pass Chairman Jodey Arrington’s budget. Let’s go Make America Great Again!” “One Bill. The FULL agenda,” said House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain. “This is our chance to pass transformational legislation that: reins in reckless spending, secures our borders, restores energy independence, lowers taxes. WE have a chance to deliver on the mandate and make America SECURE and COMPETITIVE.” ### |
