With the self-imposed deadline looming and after countless delays, the U.S. House has passed the final version of President Donald Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill."

Passing the Senate 51-50 earlier in the week and receiving a 218-214 vote in the House for the second time, sending the reconciliation bill to the President's desk for his signature.

The author of the bill, U.S. House Budget Chairman Jodey Arrington, R-TX, took to social media stating that the bill has "the tools and resources to make his America First vision a reality in the lives of the American people."

"This is the most comprehensive and consequential set of conservative reforms in modern history," Arrington said. "This Big Beautiful Bill delivers the greatest single investment in border security and national defense; the largest tax cuts for families and small businesses; the most significant commitment to unlocking America’s energy resources; and the largest reduction in spending in the history of the United States—by two-fold."

Arrington noted that there is more work to be done, but that "today is a big win for the American people and the future of the greatest nation in human history."

U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Amarillo, also released a statement weighing in on the bill's passage.

"President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill just PASSED! This is a MAJOR WIN for common sense and for putting the AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST," he wrote. The One Big Beautiful Bill is a huge step towards securing our border and unleashing the American economy, and NOW it’s FINALLY headed to the President’s desk. The American people have been WAITING and WATCHING and today, we DELIVERED!"

U.S. Vice President JD Vance — who also serves as president of the Senate and cast the tie-breaking vote on the bill — also took to social media, saying that he was even doubting that Congress was going to be able to pass the bill by July 4th.

"But now we’ve delivered big tax cuts and the resources necessary to secure the border," Vance said. "Promises made, promises kept."

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson — who backed Arrington's bill from the start — also released a statement on social media.

"Republicans in Congress have succeeded in our mission to enact President Trump's America First agenda," Johnson said. "And importantly, we did it in record time, so that the effects of this nation-shaping legislation can be felt by the American people as soon as possible."

Johnson added that the bill would permanently lower taxes for families, secure the border and "unleash American energy."
