Arrington: Americans are Growing Impatient with Democrat Leadership’s Delay of USMCA
Washington, DC,
October 21, 2019
Today, Congressman Jodey Arrington (TX-19) joined “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” on the Fox Business Network to discuss the House Democrat leadership’s continued delay in ratifying the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), even after Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador urged Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee to move forward in ratifying the agreement.
“The American people shouldn’t be patient with all this presidential harassment instead of focusing on the people’s business – here is an opportunity to build on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and expand that job creation to the tune of 170,000 new jobs and $70 billion-plus in overall additional GDP,” said Arrington.
“This is good for manufacturers, especially the auto industry, it’s great for my farmers in West Texas and ag producers around the country, and I think the calculations, unfortunately for Mrs. Pelosi, have been political. I think the majority of my colleagues – even the Democrat colleagues – they want to vote for this, they know it’s good for our country, they know it’s good for our consumers and our economy.”
